This was announced today by Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky at the opening ceremony of the International Scientific Conference entitled "Deepening Financial Integration in the EAEU" at the RAU.
According to the RAU press service, in turn, in the welcoming speech of the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, read at the conference, it was noted that today's forum is a landmark event in strengthening economic ties between the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. "The issues of forming the main forms of international cooperation in this area are acquiring not only high practical, but also scientific value. The development of financial systems in the EAEU countries is of strategic importance and contributes to the sustainable economic growth of the Union member states, promotes the development of international trade, and increases the competitiveness of our business communities "naturally creates favorable conditions for investment," Grigoryan's message said. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk thanked RAU for holding such an important event and addressing this topic.
"Today our independent states are building a common future together to fully achieve the freedom of movement of goods, services and labor that we are talking about in our Union, it is necessary to realize the freedom of movement of capital, and the formation of a common financial market has become one of the priority areas of the declaration on the further development of economic processes within the EAEU until 2030 and until 2045, which is called the Eurasian Economic Path, adopted at the end of 2023. The declaration signed by the leaders of our countries reflects the joint desire to build a common future of sovereign and independent states. Together we have all the components to achieve the overall success of the Union. This year we are celebrating the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Union, and the Republic of Armenia chairs the bodies of the EAEU. I would like to thank the leadership of Armenia for its active position on deepening economic integration in the Union and am very interested in learning the results of the discussion by the Armenian expert community on the development of a common financial market and conceptual documents," Overchuk noted.
"The active support of the governments of Armenia and Russia for the International Scientific Conference entitled "Deepening Financial Integration in the EAEU", which opened today at the Russian-Armenian University, emphasizes the role of RAU in preserving and developing interethnic, intercultural, interstate and scientific-educational ties between the two countries," Professor Edward Sandoyan said in turn.
The co-organizers of the Conference were Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Leading economists from the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation and the EAEU member countries took part in the Conference. Guests and speakers discussed the main problems and prospects for financial and economic integration of the EAEU countries, financial mechanisms and tools for the development of Eurasian economic integration in the light of global processes, as well as challenges for financial integration in the context of fragmentation of the world economy and much more.
