The Armenian police are slow in instituting criminal proceedings concerning the beating of civil activists, program coordinator of the Yerevan Press Club Haykak Arshamyan and member of the Board of Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center Suren Saghatelyan.  

  Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan has signed the National Assembly-passed law on making an amendment in the Republic of Armenia Law On Profit Tax, press-service of the president  reported.

Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian discussed the Karabakh peace process with the newly appointed US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick, Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry press-service told ArmInfo.

Minister Nalbandian said Armenia highly appreciates the OSCE MG's efforts in peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict. He said that official Yerevan is committed to peaceful resolution of the conflict on the basis on the principles proposed by the OSCE MG.
James Warlick, in turn, said that the USA would continue to exert efforts for resolution of the conflict.

The six people accused in the Harsnaqar case may be put in jail for 13 years and fined 100,000 AMD each.  To remind, Arman Khachatryan, Norayr Hayrapetyan, Karik Margaryan, Arman Baghdasaryan, David Adamyan and Artur Babloyan (some of them are bodyguards of MP Ruben Hayrapetyan) beat to death military doctor Vahe Avetyan in Hayrapetyan's Harsnaqar restaurant on June 17 2012 just because Avetyan was not properly dressed and dared to joke.
