Ex Foreign Minister of Armenia, MP Vartan Oskanian admitted on July 19 that he had spent for own needs $250,795 out of the money provided by Hunstman Foundation to his Civilitas Foundation for charity, reports the press service of the National Security Service of Armenia.

               Tbilisi. New Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain  and Northern Ireland Alexandra Mary Hall Hall passed copies of credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister  of Georgia David Jalagania on Tuesday,  July 23, the ministry's press-service reports.

The Legal Affairs Council of Yerevan's Municipality conferred on Tuesday evening to discuss the Municipality's recent decision to raise the public transport fare in Yerevan from 100 AMD to 150 AMD.

Own sources have told ArmInfo that the conference has ended in nothing. The conferees were at variance as to whether to revise the decision or not. The debates ended in a clash, with those opposing the revision leaving the hall.  

As was reported earlier, following mass protests against the rise, Yerevan's Mayor decided to revise the decision and to reduce the fare from 150 AMD to 120 AMD.

Almost 500 employees of Nairit Plant held an action of protest in front of the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.

 Hrachya Harutyunyan has come out of depression, Armenia's Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan told journalists on Tuesday.
"Harutyunyan was seriously injured in the accident, but he is already recovering. But the most important thing is that he has overcome his depression," Andreasyan said.

Barev Yerevan Bloc has urged Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan to revoke his decision to raise the public transport fare in the city from 100 AMD to 150 AMD.

What is going on in Armenia today is being provoked from abroad, Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Razmik Zohrabyan said in an interview to Azatutyun, when asked to comment on the public protests that followed the Yerevan authorities' recent decision to raise the public transport fare in the city from 100 AMD to 150 AMD.

Six activists detained during the current protest actions in Yerevan have been set free.

The rise in the public transport fare in Yerevan is the result of the ruling regime's greed and shortsightedness, expert harutyun Mesrobyan told journalists on Tuesday.

 Following the mass protests against the recent rise in the public transport fare from 100 AMD to 150 AMD, Yerevan's Municipality has decided to reduce the fare to 120 AMD.

The activists of the Let's Not Pay 150 AMD movement have recorded one more victory - a driver of a N62 microbus has stuck their leaflet in his car. It says, "Don't be Sheep, Pay 100 AMD."

The Armenian police break their promise and don't release the civil activists. Instead, Deputy Head of Police Artur Osipyan offers the protesters to set up a delegation to negotiate with the Police leadership.   

The Armenian Government has given the Artsakh war veterans the finger, Grisha Sargsyan, Chairman of the Military-Patriotic Union of the Artsakh War Veterans, said at today's press conference.  

An explosion at one of Hrazdan mines has killed a man. 

The demonstrators protesting against the public transport fare growth have made their way from the Municipality of Yerevan to the police department of Yerevan's Center community and held a picket there. 

Armenian Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan has already met with Armenian citizen Hrachya Harutyunyan and the Russian Ombudsman.   

On July 23, a driver of the 82nd microbus route announced that he would carry his passengers for 100 AMD. "My microbus was empty all day long yesterday. The civil activists carried the passengers for free. I am also against the public transport fare rise. So, I also decided to contribute to this fight. I will carry my passengers for 100 AMD as before", the drivers said to ArmInfo's correspondent.  

The activists protesting against the public transport fare rise are now in front of the Municipality of Yerevan. The demonstrators are chanting "Taron, go away!"
