Armenia's Custom Union membership is quite doubtful. The latest statement of the Armenian president might pursue just political goals, says Rasul Zhumali, a Kazakh political scientist, total.kz reported. Zhumali thinks Armenia will face many challenges in implementing such plans. 

Armenia should not sacrifice its economic interests linked with Europe, in order to please seamless political relations with Russia, which were already fully formed, a member of the initiative group for restoration of the "Armenian Pan-National Movement" party, former chairman of the parliamentary commission for foreign relations, Hovanes Igityan, told Arminfo correspondent.   

Yerevan's decision to join the Customs Union was adopted under severe pressure by Moscow, David Shakhnazaryan, former member of the Armenian National Congress, Head of Accord Center, said in a press conference, Thursday.
