Սեյրան Օհանյանի դիրքորոշումը հարգանք է հարուցում, քանի որ այդ իրավիճակում նրա
համար առաջնային խնդիրն անձնակազմի դիակները վերադարձնելն էր: Այդ մամսին
հայտարարել է ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ջոն Հեֆերնը լրագրողների հետ զրույցի ժամանակ:


 


«Եվ դա հաջողվեց անել: Ես չեմ կարող հարգանք չտածել նրա
հետևողականության և սկսած գործն ավարտին հասցնելու ունակության հանդեպբ», -
հայտարարել է Հեֆերնը, հավելելով, որ ավելի վաղ Օհանյանը դիմել էր Մինսկի
միջնորդներին, խնդրելով հանդես գալ հայտարարությամբ, որում Բաքվին կոչ էր արվում
հնարավորություն տալ վերադարձնելու հայ անձնակազմի դիակները:


 


«Ուղղաթիռին առնչվող միջադեպից երկու օր անց մենք
հանդիպեցինք: Այնուհետև ես հեռախոսով կապվեցի Մինսկի միջնորդների հետ, ինչին
հետևեց Բաքվին ուղղած համանախագահների կոչը` հնարավորություն տալ դուրս բերելու
հայ անձնակազմի դիակները», - պարզաբանել է ամերիկացի դիվանագետը:


 


Նրա ասելով, պարզ չէ, թե դա որքանով օգնեց գործին,
սակայն իր համար կարևորն այն է, որ միջնորդները բավարարեցին հայ նախարարի
խնդրանքը:


 


Հիշեցնենք, որ նոյեմբերի 12-ին ադրբեջանական ԶՈւ խոցել էր ուսումնավարժական թռիչք իրականացնող ԼՂՀ ՌՕՈւ ՙՄի-24՚ ուղղաթիռը, որում եղել են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ԶՈՒ սպաներ Սերգեյ Սահակյանը, Ազատ Սահակյանը և Սարգիս Նազարյանը: Նոյեմբերի 22-ին ԼՂՀ զինված ուժերի հատուկ գործողության արդյունքում դեպքի վայրից տարհանվել են ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմի անդամներից մեկի դին, երկու օդաչուների մասունքները և ուղղաթիռի որոշ անհրաժեշտ մասեր: Հատուկ նշանակության գործողության  ընթացքում շարքից հանվել է հակառակորդի երկու զինծառայող: Պաշտպանության բանակի կողմից կորուստներ չեն եղել:
