 Հայաստանի իշխանությունները պետական մոտեցում չեն ցուցաբերում սիրիահայերի խնդիրների նկատմամբ, այսօր մամուլի ասուլիսի ընթացքում այդպիսի կարծիք է հայտնել Միչիգանի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր, ՀՀ առաջին նախագահի նախկին խորհրդական Ժիրայր Լիպարիտյան


Նրա խոսքով, Հայաստանի իշխանությունները խնդիրն ամբողջական չեն դիտարկում, նրանց գործողություններն ավելի շուտ բարեգործության դրսևորում են, քան պետական լուրջ մոտեցում:


Բացի այդ, փորձագետի խոսքով, Մերձավոր Արևելքի երկրներում հայկական համայնքների կուսակցական և հասարակական կազմակերպություններն ընդհանուր առմամբ նվազեցնում են այս կամ այն գործընթացի վտանգի աստիճանը հայկական բնակչության համար, ինչի հետևանքով այդ գործընթացների բացասական հետևանքները միշտ անսպասելի են լինում: Այս կամ այն գործընթացի վտանգավորության աստիճանի նվազեցումը Մերձավոր Արևելքի երկրներում հայկական համայնքների բազմաքանակության պահպանման նպատակ է հետապնդում: ՙԱյդպես է եղել Իրաքում, Լիբանանում, իսկ այսօր` Սիրիայում: Բնակչությունը պատրաստ չէր արձագանքել կատարվածին, չկային ինքնապաշտպանության ուժեր: Արդյունքում հայկական բնակչությունն ստիպված թողել է իր ունեցվածքն ու տունը, զրկվել ամեն ինչից՚,- ասել է Լիպարիտյանը` մեկնաբանելով


Քեսաբում տեղի ունեցած վերջին իրադարձությունները: 
ՀՀ նախագահի նախկին խորհրդականը սիրիահայերի խնդիրների լուծման իդեալական տարբերակ է համարում նրանց զանգվածային տեղափոխումը Հայաստան և Արցախ, այլ հարց է, թե որքանով է դա այսօր իրատեսական: 


Խոսելով Քեսաբի իրադարձություններին Անկարայի մասնակցության մասին` Լիպարիտյանն ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիայի կողմից իսլամիստներին աջակցությունը կասկածի ենթակա չէ, սակայն Անկարայի գործողությունները պետք է երկու կողմից դիտարկել. դրանք  կարող էին ուղղված լինել կոնկրետ հայերի դեմ, կարող էին ուղղված լինել նաև Ասադին աջակող ուժերի դեմ, և հայերը տուժել են ոչ թե իրենց ազգային պատկանելիության, այլ` Բաշար Ասադի վարչակարգին աջակցելու համար: 


Հիշեցնենք, որ մարտի 21-ից Սիրիայի սահմանամերձ Քեսաբ քաղաքը հարձակման է ենթարկվում իսլամական ՙԱլ-Նուսրա՚ և ՙԻսլամական ճակատ՚ խմբավորումների կողմից: Քաղաքը գրոհում են Թուրքիայի կողմից և նրա աջակցությամբ: Խմբավորումների շարքերը համալրում են, հիմնականում, թուրքերը: Հայաստանի նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, ինչպես նաև Մեծի տանն Կիլիկիո Արամ Ա. կաթողիկոսը Սիրիայի իշխանություններին և միջազգային հանրությանը կոչ են արել պաշտպանել Քեսաբը և համարժեք գնահատական տալ իրավիճակին:
